The iPod Models

The iPod comes in four models, Shuffle, Nano, Classic and Touch.

iPod Shuffle
The iPod Shuffle is the baby version, and has the least amount of storage space and features and therefore the lowest price. The 2nd generation of the Shuffle is pictured on the right.

Comes in 5 colors, including, lime green, orange, blue, silver and hot pink, purple and limited edition gold.

Features:
1GB or 2GB flash drive
Holds up to 240 or 500 songs in 128-Kbps AAC format
Stores data via USB flash drive

iPod Nano
The Nano model is the next biggest in storage capacity, and includes video capability.

The latest generation of the iPod Shuffle comes with

iPod Classic
The iPod Classic is the next in the line of Apple iPods, and has a lot more storage space and can play a lot more hours of video.

The Classic iPod comes in silver or black all meta enclosures that is made of

iPod Touch
The iPod Touch is the final model of iPod, and is the Big Daddy of iPod with a crisp and clear widescreen display, touch screen , choice of three storage capacities, and of course the most expensive of the three.

User Interface

The iPod Nano and Classiv come with the famous signature click wheel, which makes navigating through music and video not only fun, but super easy.

iPods with color displays use a graphic user interface and sliding animations. All iPod models, with the exception of the Shuffle and Touch have 5 buttons and the latest generations have the buttons as part of the click wheel, which provides for a very user-friendly and minimalist user interface.

These buttons allow for easy access to functions such as, menu, play, pause, next and previous track. A rotating function is used to scroll through menu items and for volume control by rotating the click wheel.

The most basic model of iPod, the Shuffle does not offer the above navigation extras, but instead has a small control on the earphone cable, with volume-up and -down buttons and a single button for play/pause, next track, etc.

The Touch has a touch screen instead of the click wheel, and its interface is just like that of the iPhone and it also has the iPhone operating system.
